Tips for holding ASL conversation table

I recently obtained a job as an ASL tutor at my university. I was asked to hold a conversation table where students can come and practice conversational skills. I’m looking for suggestions on appropriate conversation starters for 101-202 level students. Any ideas welcome!

Hello. Start with basic daily conversations. Then ask them what book they are reading or what movie they recently saw and discuss elements of the book or movie. They should be abe to tell you why to see the movie or read the book.
