There is no specific sign for "caramel" that I am aware of. Most signers would fingerspell this to "borrow" the vocabulary item from English. There may be local signs for this that exist among a limited set of signers that isn't widely shared among the general population of users of ASL. For example, if there were a small number of deaf people who worked in a factory producing caramel and they had a need to refer to this frequently in their conversations they would likely have a sign for it. That sign might remain in use only within their small group of signers or it might eventually spread to the general population of signers.
