Hi there! Because of my mom's job I live in Beijing and am currently a junior in high school. Due to China being, well, not North America, there aren't a ton of resources to learn ASL here. I'm basically limited to watching ASL youtube videos, which doesn't seem like it should be my only source of information regarding deaf culture and signs. I realize I won't be able to study ASL as much as I'd like to until college back in the US, but are there any other good resources to further expand my understanding of the deaf community?
There is many other alternatives way to learn ASL. There is a lot on Instagram (IG) as well. If you type #whyisign on IG and you will find many other people who posted ASL stories about themselves or some other people will posted ASL lessons as well. Hope it's helpful. I'm glad you are learning ASL. ASL is amazing! :D
