Hi,
Unless you are surrounded by Hebrew speakers in a Hebrew only environment, you do need to learn the alphabet.
Before I retired, while I was a Hebrew School Principal, I wrote "The Supermem Hebrew Reading and Writing program". This complete program was originally geared for children. As per request, I later used it to teach adults (mostly parents) so that they can learn with their kids. The adults loved it and appreciated the speed in which they learned.
I can teach you in a fun way, to identify the Hebrew letters and vowels and be able to recognize / build words and be proficient, in just a few lessons.
Please contact via the wyzant communication service to let me know what I can do for you.
Regards,
Nily G.
