Does ‘אלי ישוע’ mean ‘My God is Jesus’?

Without Hebrew, key words in the New Testament like ‘Immanuel’ (from Hebrew עמנו אל , meaning ‘God is with us’) or ‘Jesus’ (from Hebrew ישוע , meaning ‘to rescue’) make no sense, even in the original Greek. It is possible that translating the original texts into Roman or English has caused miscomprehension of the texts and a misunderstanding of God. I personally believe in returning to the Hebrew roots.
