This is quite simple. We just use the point slope formula because have the slope and a point. It is this: 

y – y1 = m(x – x1) Now we just plug in:

 

y-1=-2(x-1)

y-1=-2x+2

y=-2x+3

 

That is the equation. I hope you understand it now.
