Algebra geometry calculus mostly welcome
15n-17=8
or, 15n=8+17 (take -17 to the right side of =... So its gives +17)
or, 15n=25 (add 8+17, gives 25)
or, n=25/15 (just divide by 15 both side)
or, n=(5×5)/(3×5) (so. 5 cancel out from numerator and denominator)
or, n=5/3=1.6667
or, n=1.67

15n-17=8
1) Add 17 to both sides to have the variable by itself
15n=25
2) Divide both sides by 15 to find what n equals
n=25/15
3) 25/15 can have the numerator and denominator divided by 5
n=5/3
(The decimal form would then be roughly 1.667)
