a Dr. orders 225mg of morphine. It is only available in a 0.40 g/mL solution. How many mL of the solution are required?

0.40 g/ml x 1000 mg/g = 400 mg/ml. 

 

(400 mg/ml)(x ml) = 225 mg

x = 0.5625 ml = 0.56 ml
