I wasn't sure if your question was

A) 'one and a half ducks lay one and a half eggs in one half a day" with a little typo

   or

B) 'one and half ducks lay one and a half eggs in one and a half days' with a big typo

 

and how do you have half a duck that can lay eggs?

let's look at A)'one and a half ducks lay one and a half eggs in one half a day"

 

1.5 ducks     5 ducks

---------- = -----------

1.5 eggs       5 eggs

 

5 ducks can lay 5 eggs in one-half a day

 

5 eggs    x eggs

------- = --------

.5 days   6  days

 

cross multiply

 

.5x = 30

 

x = 60 eggs

 

B) if you meant to type 'one and a half ducks lay one and a half eggs in one and a half days'

 

5 eggs      x eggs

-------   = --------

1.5 days   6 days

 

1.5x = 30

 

x = 20
