Although you didn't say so explicitly, I assume "straight through" means she walks across the center. In that case, the walk is simply the diameter. Remember that:
C = Π * D
Which also means:
C / Π = D
753.6 / 3.14 = D
240 = D
We now know she is walking a distance of 240 feet. To find her time, we must divide her journey by her rate:
240 ft / (5 feet / sec)
Remember that when you divide by a fraction, you actually have to multiply by the reciprocal:
240 ft / (1 sec / 5ft)
The feet cancel, leaving us with 48 seconds.
