I would argue that music from many cultures shares multiple traits, not just one. All countries have some level of musical presence in them, and they all have unique ways of making music. Nonetheless, all music in the world shares the following traits:
1.) Universal themes such as romance, loss, etc. are found in music everywhere.
2.) Every country has special types of music for different functions such as religious observances or cultural celebrations/holidays.
3.) Established and unique patterns that serve as the rhythmic and/or melodic formulas for the songs.
I hope this answer makes sense and gives you a new perspective on the shared traits of music from around the world.
