If you write 1x inside an exam instead of writing x, are you supposed to get marks for writing that??

I am wondering if you write 1x instead of x do you still get the answer wrong or do you get the mark for it, just preparing myself for my gcse's

It depends on why do you write that way. If you did it on purpose, then I would accept it the same as writing x. But If you thought (by some reasons) that is should be 1x )but not x) then I would think that you didn't understand the difference between x and 1x. 

But anyway, it should not change the overall evaluation significantly. At least I think so.
