the distance formula is √(x2-x1)2+(y2-y1)2
A(-5,2) and B(1,5)
√(1-(-5))2+(5-2)2=√36+9=√45=3√5
B(1,5) and C(3,1)
√(3-1)2+(1-5)2=√4+16=√20=2√5
when I did the problem I found the opposite sides to be equal so you get the same two distances again; try it for yourself
