Maximum speed occurs when it has reached the bottom, where all potential energy due to its elevation is converted to kinetic energy. Assuming it fell from a maximum height of h,
mgh = (1/2)mv2
gh = v2/2
v = √(2gh) = √[(2)(32 ft/s2)(187 ft)] ≅ 109.40 ft/s
vmax = 109.40 ft/s

I'm sorry I sent you the wrong problem that goes with the answer I first posted. I actually needed that one as well though. If you don't mind can you help me finish this one?
What is the height of the coaster when the velocity is 90 ft/sec? Show all work using the equation editor and label your final solution. Round your final answer to the nearest hundredth, but remember you should NOT round in the middle of the question. Write a sentence explaining your answer.

Use the same equation. This time the kinetic energy at the bottom is fully converted to potential energy at the top.
mv2/2 = mgh
h = v2 / (2g) = (90 ft/s)2 / [2(32 ft/s2)] ≅ 126.56 ft
