After Eddie has taken 5 steps, what fraction of the line is behind him? What fraction of the line is still in front?

What is the length of the line?

Hooray !!

Now, both Mark and Arturo are very excellent tutors; I've read hundreds of their Answers on this forum.  However, they differ in style (which I'm learning to replicate in computer software, but it is tough).

Recently, I mentioned that a guess with an answer is often correct and saves an interaction.  When tutoring in person, it is relatively quick to ask for clarification in a terse manner.  However, we must realize that the Answers Forum and computers introduce extra communication difficulties (insufficient space is a great example) so additional patience and a slightly different strategy is appropriate.

It is great to see that this process works.
