Culture is defined as follows: a network of language, including the arts, musical instruments, agricultural tools, techniques of harvesting grain, flowers, plants, flora, and fauna of comestibles, trade, legal and governance of social classes, with belief systems, traditions, customs, religious rites, economical distributions, social rank, and demographics; in short, the levels of technology, ideological frameworks, historical contexts, and political and social communications among a people, whether verbal or social according to critical theorists such as the Chicago anthropologists like Emeritus Dr. Service at UCSB, (the University of Santa Barbara when I took anthropology as a freshman). I learned about cultural norms, ethnocentrism, xenophobia, racism, and rhetorical performances via the Golden Triangle and the media in graduate school and events that shape our world view (Weltanschauung) at the Universities of Florida, California, Mannheim, and Maryland. I read ethnographers, such as Thomas Harriot's drawing, chronical travelogues, guiding navigators along global pathway through the Elizabethan age of conquest, colonialism, and exploitation. Cultural analysis encompasses science, philosophy, mathematics, the exploration of semantics, semiotic symbols, epistemology, Emil Durkheim's concept of diversity in terms of the laws of the unheimlichkeit or Paul DeMan's prism of the prison or Socrates's concept of the cave and the unknown, as seen of the dicotomies.
