Fraction sum, am I right?

2 -3/4 * 2 2/3
= 3 1/10

According to my calculator

My original answer was:
7 1/3

But then, I looked at it again and found out how it got its answer.
I assumed that all the wholes were negative. While the calculator says it's only the numerator that's a negative. Right?

To the point, was the calculator right?

You should use order of operation, and avoid the calculator for such a small numbers.

  2 - 3/4 * 2 2/3 =

2  -  ( 3/4 *8/3 ) =

 2 - ( 1/1 * 2/1 ) =

 2 -   2 = 0
