Simplify the expression and leave as a simple fraction. There should be no negative exponents.
(24x^5y^7)/6x^-3y^10

Divide the constants.  Subtract exponents of common bases.  To turn the exponents positive, perform the reciprocal.

x^-m = 1 / x^m

Also:  ab/cd = (a/c)(b/d)

 

(24x⁵y⁷)/(6x^-3y¹⁰)

 

= (24/6)(x⁵/x^-3)(y⁷/y¹⁰)

 

= 4(x⁵)(x³)(1/y¹⁰y^-7)

 

= 4x⁸/y³
