solve 3x+2=2x

ive tried isolating the x on each side of the equation but i don't know what im doing wrong.

3x+2=2x

Let's subtract 3x from both sides...

-3x+3x+2=2x-3x

2=-1x

2=-x

Let's multiply both sides by -1...

(-1)(2)=(-1)(-x)

-2=x

Let's check our work...

3x+2=2x

[(3)(-2)]+2=(2)(-2)

-6+2=-4

-4=-4
