q1. (5,2,17), (3,4,13), (7,9,x), (6,3,21)
The pattern in each set (x1,x2,x3) appears to be
that (x3-x2)=3x1
17-2 = 3(5)
13-4 = 3(3)
21-3 = 3(6)
For (7,9,x) we would have
x-9 = 3(7)
x-9=21
x=30
Your set is (7,9,30)
q2. (7,3,40), (5,2,28), (8,4,48), (7,4,x)
Your pattern for each set (x1,x2,x3) is
x3 = 4(x1+x2)
40 = 4(7+3)
28 = 4(5+2)
48 = 4(8+4)
For (7,4,x) we have
x = 4(7+4) = 4(11) = 44
Your set is (7,4,44)
