Find work function with stopping potential

Ultraviolet laser at 248nm is incident on a surface and results in the photoemission from the surface.
(a)What is the work function of the surface? Assume the stoping potential is 2V.
(b)What is the maximum kinetic energyof the photoelectrons?

Sir, may I ask something?
Were both answers' unit electron-volt?

Both can be expressed in electron volts. It is easier to express work function as e x V. If you use SI units in the equation for kinetic energy, kinetic energy will have units of Joules.
