You work at pascals pizza factory. You would like to tell customers how many topping combinations are possible at your pizza place. If the factory has 13 different toppings, then how many topping combinations are there, if you order a max of 5 toppings AND you can use each only once? If you order double toppings (for example, double pepperoni, or double peppers), but still have a max of 5 toppings, do you have a different number of combinations? Please show solution too if you can.

For the first question, you are choosing 5 exclusive things out of a set of 13 things, so you have to calculate 13 choose 5(just google 13 choose 5 for a quick answer):

 

13 choose 5 = 13!/(5!*(13-5)!)=13!/(5!*8!)=1287 pizza combinations

 

If you are allowed to order double toppings, then you will have even more pizza combinations.
