Hi Janet,
To solve this think of f(x) as a a thing that turns x values into y values. Start out like this:
f(x)= √x+3
When does f(x)= 0?
0 = √x+3
0 = x+3
-3 -3
x=-3
That is left most point (-3,0)
For the next part try this:
f(1)= √1+3
f(1)= 2
Therefore another point is
(1,2)
continue to do this
f(2) = √5
f(3)= √6
two more points are (2,√5), (3,√6)
