I hired Evan H for voice lessons. As a longtime piano player, I wanted a voice teacher that understood the voice as an instrument, so when I saw that in his credential, I was like why not select this teacher. Evan H is a master teacher, because he targets specifically what needs development, and is able to identify exactly what to do to make the voice improve. As of this review, I have been doing lessons for 6 months. Before taking lessons, I really hated my voice.
Now mind you, I was very nervous in our first session but Ms. Deborah has an uncanny way of making you feel very comfortable and at ease. In our 2nd session we did a lot of voice training. She showed me various techniques to improve my voice inflection when speaking in front of groups and individuals. Would I hire Ms. Deborah again? YES!!! I think anyone who is lacking in certain skills would definitely benefit from Ms. Deborah's tutoring.
And before you know it, you can't pass by that piano (or guitar case) without sitting down to play! Regarding voice lessons-- my teenage daughter (total beginner) started voice lessons with Anne. Anne gave her appraisal right away: Wonderful effort but her sense of pitch requires some musical background first. I was very impressed by Anne's honesty. And it got my daughter started on the right track: Taking Piano, and then developing her voice for singing.
