In our session, we reviewed the integration of polynomial functions, the power rule for integration, the quotient rule, and the steps necessary to graph a function in order to determine the area between its graph and the x-axis. As we worked through problems, Scott carefully wrote out and explained each step to ensure that I understood the reasoning behind it. While he was thorough, we also moved at a good pace, which allowed us to cover all of my questions in the time allotted.

Reviewed integration by parts and u-substitution techniques. Setting up the problem by choosing the "u" and "dv" parts. Sometimes having to do multiple integration by parts. Choosing the "u" and "du" for u-substitution. Solving linear systems by using matrix row operations or inverse matrices. Calculation of inverse matrix and basic matrix math operations.

Went over fluid force word problems from chapter 7 and also worked on chapter 8's integration by substitution and integration by parts. Matthew knows what he's doing which makes understanding calc easier and minimize's your time with him, because time is money.
