As a Marine Corps officer, I mentored Marines constantly in life skills and soft skills in both a 1:1 format and group lessons. These lessons covered many topics, including: communication (public speaking, other verbal, written, listening), teamwork, problem solving, project management, emotional intelligence, leadership, time management, critical thinking, organization, goal development, productivity, etc.
