About Sarah

So you need someone with the patience and gentleness and concern of Mother Goose. Someone also with a little intelligence of Einstein... OK hopefully close to that will do. Someone with love for seeing students excel. Well, you have found her! With over 10 years experience, I continue to enjoy tutoring to ensure students excel!

Encouragement: A child or young adult, who experiences encouragement that results in a small success, will be more likely to build a belief in him or herself, fostering continued success throughout life.

Creative Lesson Plans: developing fun ways to learn elementary math, science or social studies which will engage the student and make learning enjoyable resulting in a life-long pursuit of continual learning in all areas. Developing lessons that help young adults to learn more about themselves and gain an understanding of human behavior, sparks interest in psychology, history and other social sciences.

Trust: I have over 10 years of experience in counseling and education. I have spent time in grades K-12 in academic testing and 5 years teaching college students and 6 years GED, SAT, ACT and ASVAB test preparation teaching experience. For 4 years I have worked as Homeschooling and also work with those preparing for TOEFL or just desiring to improve their English skills.

I am here to help you overcome any difficulties and roadblocks to learning so you can excel! I am experienced in a variety of subjects and also have experience working with special needs, ADHD, and dyslexic students.

All tutoring is personalized to the student because after all we all have different learning styles. Tutoring is more than a job for me, it is ensuring you are the best academically you can be and it is paying it forward for tomorrow's future leaders.

My schedule is flexible and I am now scheduling students for the Fall. I hope to hear from you!

Whatever your needs, your goals, your level, I look forward to helping you achieve academic success.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
