“Every child can learn — we just need to understand how they learn.”
I am a certified Special Education teacher with a Master’s degree in Special Education and a Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology. I work primarily with elementary students (K–5) and specialize in autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, speech/language needs, and emotional or behavioral challenges. My background in communication development, trauma-informed care, and evidence-based instruction helps me support young learners with both expertise and compassion.
I have taught in self-contained autism programs, inclusive elementary classrooms, and behavioral support settings. My experience includes 1:1 instruction, small-group interventions, academic remediation, and supporting IEP goals. I understand how children learn best and create structured, engaging sessions that help them feel safe, confident, and capable.
“When a child feels safe, learning becomes possible.”
I tutor in:
• Reading/Literacy: phonics, decoding, fluency, comprehension
• Writing: sentence skills, grammar, organization
• Math: number sense, operations, word problems
• Executive Functioning: focus, routines, organization
• Social/Emotional Skills: regulation, coping tools, flexible thinking
My approach is warm, patient, and highly individualized. I use visuals, multisensory activities, modeling, guided practice, and positive reinforcement to keep learning engaging and supportive. I adapt each session to the child’s academic level and emotional needs.
“I teach the child first, and the skill second.”
Parents can expect consistency, communication, and genuine collaboration. I value partnering with families to set goals, celebrate progress, and build skills that carry over into school and home. My goal is to help your child grow in confidence, independence, and a love for learning.
