Hi, I’m Emanuel! I am an undergraduate Bioengineering student at Stanford University with a deep passion for chemistry. I know from experience that success in chemistry classes doesn’t take talent; it requires the right learning strategies. This philosophy has guided both my personal learning process and my tutoring process with AP Chemistry, General Chemistry, and Organic Chemistry students for the last four years.
In sessions, I use a variety of proven techniques tailored to individual students and their learning goals. For problem-solving courses like AP and General Chemistry, I demonstrate efficient solving strategies, walk students through examples step-by-step, and then coach them as they solve similar problems on their own. This approach ensures that deep conceptual understanding is paired with problem-solving proficiency. For Organic Chemistry, I help students tackle the perceived mountain of information by emphasizing unifying themes. Many reactions are far more similar than they seem, and when you see different concepts as variations of the same fundamental mechanism, the class becomes far more manageable. Most importantly, in all of my sessions, I always emphasize that it’s a safe place to make mistakes! Misconceptions are powerful learning tools; they help identify gaps, strengthen understanding, and build confidence.
My academic background includes top grades in General and Organic Chemistry through dual enrollment in high school, a 99th percentile score on the ACS Organic Chemistry exam, 5s on the AP Chemistry and AP Biology exams, and an Associate’s Degree in Biology earned alongside my high school honors diploma. If you’re looking to master your AP Chemistry, General Chemistry, or Organic Chemistry class and you’re willing to make mistakes along the way, I would love to help you succeed. Reach out and let’s get started!
