55-minute session and five-minute review with parent
We wanted to share our experience with Stacy R. From the moment we met, we were very comfortable, had a positive energy, and she simply delighted us with her care and professionalism for our son's needs. We've been using her for several weeks and it has already made a great impact on his progress. She has definitely brought out more confidence in him, even though he still has a ways to go. The difference is showing at home too, when he applies some of her suggestions to other work that he might not be directly reviewing or being tutored on with her. We are very pleased with the results of his progress and highly recommend Stacy.
January 14, 2013:
As an update since our first review, I can attest that she is the real deal and is such an excellent influence on our son. She manages to "get us" relatively quickly and understands our son's needs. It seems so natural for her, even though every child is different. There is something about the way she interacts that has made the biggest impact in our son. We are truly grateful for her intervention and know that we have so much more to learn as parents, beyond what our son is already achieving. She is a remarkable teacher!
My daughter and I met with tutor Stacy R. today for the first time and I am thoroughly impressed with her insight, depth, and breadth of knowledge pertaining to my child's need base. She is patient, gentle, my daughter loves her, and most of all, an obvious expert in teaching children. I'm thrilled to have found her on your sight and look forward to a wonderful working relationship.
As time progresses and we are even more pleased with how she works with our son. Her patience is a blessing and he really shows his true potential with her. Recently, he had a hard day and rather than allowing him to "push buttons" Stacy went with the flow and our son was able to stick out the entire session. We were proud of him, but most importantly thankful to Stacy for her patience & hard work!
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
