I am a former classroom teacher with 7+ years of experience teaching and tutoring in multiple subjects. I enjoy working with students of all ages--over the years, I've taught/tutored elementary, middle-school, high school, and college students. My unique strength as a tutor is my ability to teach across multiple subjects. Many of my clients use me as their "one-stop shop" for academic support, hiring me on a regular basis to help with homework assignments, essay writing, organization/study skills, and test preparation, for whichever subjects are needed at the time. In my experience, students' overall confidence and academic performance benefit tremendously from this kind of holistic support. For me, education isn't just about performance and product, it's about enjoying the process of learning and discovery. My years of experience have covered a wide range of grades and subjects. After receiving my Master's of Education, I went on to become a lead 5th grade classroom teacher, after student teaching in grades 3-4. I then transitioned into full-time home school instruction, where I twice taught the full middle-school curriculum (grades 7-8), which included developing and implementing lessons in all the core subjects. All of my home school students successfully transitioned into public high schools.

At the high school level, I have led students to success in Regents courses/exams in Language Arts, Global History and Geography, Living Environment, Earth Science, and Algebra, in addition to Honors and AP courses in English, World History, and U.S. History and Government.
