I have taught Spanish since the day I graduated from college. I am now retired but I want to continue to share my love of the Spanish language and Hispanic culture with students, as I have done throughout my life. I enjoy working one on one with students. I have lived in Spain. I travel there frequently. I have extensive knowledge of Spanish and Hispanic culture, art, music and literature. I believe that learning a language should be a challenging but fun experience. I have taught and tutored all levels, from basic Spanish to AP and I enjoy each level.

She is wonderful and very helpful for my daughter's Spanish lesson. It is very easy to contact her and flexible in rearranging the lesson time if you need to. I would definitely recommend her.
Thanks, Yoomee. It's a pleasure working with your daughter!
Joan has been wonderful with my 8th grade daughter who was struggling with Spanish for a long time. Joan is patient but firm in her approach which is exactly what my daughter needed. I highly recommend Joan if you're looking for someone to tutor your child in Spanish.
Thanks so much, Christine! It's a pleasure working with your daughter!
Joan is an excellent tutor. She is caring, patient and has a terrific personality.
I was thrilled with our sons results, and in such a short time.
We would highly recommend her!
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I am experienced in all levels of Spanish, basic through AP and college level
