Kind, diligent and well loved by my students, I am passionate about giving my students all the knowledge, tools and mindset they need to succeed in pursuing their academic and life goals.
I was born in Beijing, China and moved to Long Island, NY with my parents in 2014.

I have worked with a handful of middle- and high-school students who have special learning accommodations from their schools, often from diagnosis of ADHD/Autism, in Math and Reading. We have very positive results such as going from a passing grade to an A- in a few months. I use metaphors, pictures, color-coding and repetition to break down complicated ideas and give you the simplest explanations possible.
I have also volunteered as a teacher of 1st- and 2nd- grade Environmental Science through Sprout Up, a national environmental non-profit at NYU, from 2021 to 2024. In 2024, I was its president.

//Whether you are a classroom high-achiever looking to get ahead, or are looking for someone to clear-up roadblocks to your understanding, I am here to help you achieve your dreams with patience and study tools. Please feel free to message me. :)

//Subjects I Teach: K-12 & College Math, High-school & College Physics, English/ESL, SAT/ACT Math and Reading, Mandarin (school curriculum), Mandarin Speaking for adults.
//On a case-to-case basis, I edit writing and tutor simple physical sciences.

Excellent and knowledgeable tutor

My son has few writing lessons with Youxuan so far. She is very knowledgeable and patient, my son has improved so much in such a short time! She is not just helping him to learn good writing techniques but also inspiring him to love writing! She has recommended a few great books to read and encouraged sharing his favorite writing. I am very happy we find the right tutor and looking to schedule lesson with her in regular basis. I feel she really goes extra miles to offer any kind of support, Youxuan definitely deserves this 5 star rating ! :)
