I come from a family of musicians, my mother was a singer and my father was a violinist. When I was young, my parents never let me play an instrument because they thought it would be too challenging to pursue musical studies. This fueled my interest and desire to become a musician and after years of convincing, I started playing the violin since when I was 9 years old and the rest is history. I believe that music is a fundamental tool in young student's personal development as it allows one to channel their creativity and imagination into an art form that is unique and personal. Music has allowed me to find my own voice and has not only brought me immense joy growing up, but has also taken me all over the world for several performance opportunities.
I have received degrees from the Juilliard School Pre-College Division, Northwestern University Bienen School of Music, and am currently pursuing a Masters Degree from the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, MA.
I am primarily a violist, but I have also been teaching violin to students of all ages throughout my undergraduate studies. I have taught from the Suzuki books of varying levels, as well as on a track of independent studies catered to the specific student for those who are preparing for auditions or recitals, or simply learning violin for their own interests.
I believe music should be fun, engaging, and eye-opening for anyone and everyone. If you are interested in studying violin or viola with me, feel free to reach out to schedule a lesson!
