My name is Asheetos and I graduated with a Bachelor's degree and am now in the process of applying to medical schools. While completing my undergraduate coursework, I volunteered as a tutor and am now finally making the move to independent tutoring. Tutoring is special because I believe that every student already has what they need to be successful; my job is to help rearrange information in a way that helps it click for you. I offer tutoring in a wide variety of subjects including study skills, test prep, sciences, math, English, Spanish, and sociology, but my specialty is in sociology and the sciences. For a year, I taught English classes in senior homes in Central America where I was exposed to different learning styles and teaching strategies. I have a very receptive approach to tutoring, where I will first ask you many questions to find your learning style and from there we will work together to better your understanding of whatever you are struggling with.

For sciences, I received an A in general biology lectures, general biology labs, biochemistry, and physics lecture and labs. I received an A in both semesters of general chemistry lectures and Bs in the lab components. Most of my tutoring has been with biology and chemistry lecture. I have also tutored elementary school students as well as adult learners.

For humanities, I specialize in sociology, gender studies, and introduction psychology. Together, we can dissect theories that come up during lecture and help organize papers on those topics.

I am here to help and want you to feel welcome reaching out to me at any time for help. I will get back to you very quickly and we will not waste any time getting to the root of confusion and clearing it up. My immediate goal is to help you study more efficiently, but my long term goal is to help you gain confidence and autonomy so that you don't need me anymore in the future.

Helpful and genuine

Asheetos went out of her way to help me with a schedule and provide me with extra tips and resources for the MCAT. She sent me additional materials after our session; she has a genuine personality that made me feel relaxed and happy to talk about preparing for a stressful event.

Very helpful

Asheetos was very helpful to my son who is a high school chemistry student. She is knowledgeable of the subject matter, patient, and kind. I have to have more characters in order to submit this review even though I said what I wanted to in a concise manner.

She's awesome!

Ash is amazing. She made me feel more confident in starting the dense studying for the mCAT. She is patient & relatable & just amazing overall! We came up with a doable plan of action that will help me reach my goals for the mCAT and applying to Med School. I look forward to continuously working with Ash until I no longer need to do so! She emphasizes on NOT needing her, because if we continuously need her... MEANS she isn't doing her job lol! Anyways, Choose her!!!

Kind and Skilled Tutor

Asheetos has been the most supportive tutor I have had. She is extremely intelligent and kind. She is also clearly very comfortable with General Chemistry material. She makes herself available even outside of tutoring time to assist with homework or any follow up questions.I would highly suggest her to anyone who is struggling with General Chemistry!

So appreciative of Asheetos N.!!

Hi all! For anyone looking for a dependable, thorough, and knowledgeable chemistry tutor; I highly recommend Ashley! I found Ashley at just the right time, I had an upcoming chemistry exam and she worked with me for one day and I received a 91% on the test! She is extremely understanding and flexible, as well as knowledgeable on any concepts that you may have questions on. In addition, she goes above and beyond to make sure that she is helping and supporting students by being available by message at any time. She looks at tutoring as more than a job and it's clear to see that she truly cares about the well-being and success of the students that she helps!!

Fantastic tutor, explained concepts clearly, fast response

I contacted Asheetos and got a response within minutes! She was willing to tutor my child the same day (high school biology), and she explained concepts clearly and patiently. My daughter enjoyed learning from her and asked if she could meet her again in the future. Strongly recommend!
