Bio

I'm a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Columbia University, where I majored in English Literature. Over the past few years, I've tutored students of all ages, focusing specifically on standardized test preparation (ACT, SAT, SAT IIs, APs), homework help -- nearly every subject -- and study skills. In this time, my students have been accepted to Harvard, Oxford, Columbia, U Chicago, UC Berkeley, among other top universities.

I'm a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Columbia University, where I majored in English Literature. Over the past few years, I've tutored students of all ages, focusing specifically on standardized test preparation (ACT, SAT, SAT IIs, APs), homework help -- nearly every subject -- and study skills. In this time, my students have been accepted to Harvard, Oxford, Columbia, U Chicago, UC Berkeley, among other top universities.

Much of my reason for tutoring comes from my love of education and my hopes of passing my knowledge forward. My philosophy is to help students learn in a fun, accessible, and approachable method. Learning and test prep should not be like pulling teeth; it should be enjoyable. I've been successful in the past and hope to continue in the future!

My hours are flexible. I'm available on both weekdays and weekends. If interested, I teach creative writing (playwriting, screenwriting, criticism) as well!

I have recently begun tutoring a student for the Accuplacer test. My skills in other standardized tests -- ACT, SAT, APs, among others -- certainly help. By knowing how the test works and knowing the skills required to do one's best, I feel confident I am qualified to help others be placed in the best courses for them.

In high school, I took up to AP Us History, scoring a 5 on the exam. At Columbia, I have taken various American History courses, specifically in early American and native histories. In high school, I prepped for the History Subject Test but decided did not require it. Nevertheless, I have tutored middle and high school students in varying difficulties of American History, especially preparing students for the AP and SAT2 exams.
Anthropology

At Columbia, I studied Anthropology. I'm trained in both the classic canon of anthropological literature as well as basic field work procedures. I have written thesis-length works especially in ethnomusicology and performative studies. I have likewise performed theatrical works authorized by the Columbia Anthropology Department. I am aiming to publish works within Anthropology (and working with profs to make that happen). I am also working on an auto-ethnography regarding pop music/drag culture.
