Alexi worked with my 14 year old daughter on Math Olympiad questions. He is extremely knowledgeable and does a good job making sure you understand concepts.

Alexis is a true mathematician. He is absolutely brilliant. He can thoroughly, patiently, and kindly explain any topic in advanced mathematics off the top of his head. In addition, he is reachable and responsive. If you need help in any area of mathematics, especially with advanced concepts, it doesn't get better than this. This man is not your average tutor; he is truly special.

Test Preparation:

Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I am comfortable with all levels of single and multivariate calculus. I have taught a wide variety of calculus related subjects including "Linear Algebra and Vector Calculus for Engineers" at CCNY. I specialize in advanced calculus and many branches of analysis including Real Analysis, Complex Variables, and Functional Analysis. I also have experience teaching Olympiad style problems for gifted kids.

I have taught a course titled "Math 392 Linear Algebra and Vector Analysis for Engineers" at CCNY. Furthermore, I routinely deal with the concepts of linear algebra in the more advanced setting of functional analysis. Thorough knowledge of linear algebra is also essential in the study of smooth manifolds.

I have a solid grasp of linear algebra that reaches beyond the undergraduate level. I have tutored this subject on numerous occasions.
