I have always loved teaching and enjoy the challenge of finding the right key to unlock even the most difficult student. Having been both a classroom teacher in, and a full-time private tutor for, New York's City's top prep schools for nearly 30 years, I have first rate experience successfully guiding students toward their academic potentials.
My ability in a wide range of academic areas allows me to be an ideal tutor for a middle or high school student who may require help in either a single or multiple subjects. I routinely teach English, French, Spanish, Biology, Chemistry, and Math and have worked with students from basic through AP levels in all these subjects. Often, part of my work will involve organizational and study skills, both of which are crucial to future success in any subject. Additionally, I can advise and assist on college essays and applications. In the past years, my students have been accepted at Harvard, Yale, Columbia, Dartmouth, Penn, Brown, Cornell, Tufts, Amherst, MIT, and Johns Hopkins, among others.
I have hours during the week and on Sundays and will come to your home or other mutually convenient location. Though I ask for 24 hours notice in the event of a cancellation, I will certainly try to work with you if unforeseen circumstances may arise.
