Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

ACT Math

The ACT math is a test which measures a student's aptitude for material. I believe that through practice and proven strategies, you can improve your score to the top percentile.

I support students through both in-person and virtual solutions for ACT Math, showing the proven techniques to excel at the ACT Math exam.

Algebra 1

I tutor algebra students with math concepts from pre-algebra, geometry, and algebra 2. I revisit organization, problem-solving, and test-taking strategies to succeed on exams. Fundamentals include integers, fractions, shapes, area, word problems, and graphing functions.

I studied biostatistics at Johns Hopkins University with Clinical Health Program for graduate coursework. I have worked in biostatistics financial modeling in the insurance industry. I have also tutored students in the public health sector on how to use biostatistics for their course projects and for creating clinical trials that compare baynesian and frequentist distributions.

Career Development

I work day-in and day-out with students at the undergraduate and graduate levels, as well as working professionals who are transitioning between careers (at the entry level, mid level, and senior Director level).

My goals with career development is to support your growth with how work occurs to you, your language-based communication, and how to move the process forward in your vision work to succeed in your new opportunity.

Perhaps you have hit a roadblock in your current work environment (known as blockers, or obstacles), and I could help you regain focus, clarity, and the confidence to succeed in a leadership capacity.

Differential Equations

Differential equations is one of my favorite subjects because of the applications and advanced calculus topics discussed in this level of calculus. I have studied differential equations in Undergraduate studies, as well as supported students and study groups for their success with this subject.

My background in marketing includes undergraduate courses in Marketing, and the Psychology of Marketing, as well as User Experience Courses. I have worked as usability professional, and I offer experience with also user design and user interaction.

I consult start-ups who build out their marketing and growth hacking plans to develop their operations, and strategy in both San Francisco and New York. My marketing expertise includes viral marketing, growth hacking, data analysis, case validation, customer analysis, sentiment analysis, survey response, and the psychology of how marketing and sales processes work for organizations.

Microsoft Excel

I work with Microsoft Excel on a daily basis. My primary tools are creating macros, automating programs with VBA, and building out financial modeling projects.

I believe that excellence in Excel starts with how you design your work, and continues with the material in the spreadsheet.

If you have questions on Pivot Tables, Vlookup, specific formulas, creating your own formulas, linking worksheets, or financial modeling, I look forward to supporting you with your Excel needs.

Microsoft Windows

I have extensive experience working Microsoft Windows Operating systems and Microsoft Windows software. This includes navigation for the operating system, networking, peripherals, information technology, and IT support.

I have worked with the Microsoft Windows operating system since DOS and Windows 95. I can provide support for all operating systems, including the most recent Windows 8, Windows 8.1, and Windows 10 new releases.

I have extensive experience with networking capabilities for the Windows operating system including Windows 7, and legacy Windows Operating Systems including Windows Vista and Windows XP.

Probability is the foundation for statistics. I support students’ success in probability so that they can pursue additional statistics classes and a career in statistics.

Some students just need to pass Probability so that they can continue with their major, while others are looking for a life-long career. I look forward to supporting you with your probability needs and showing you how simple statistics can be.

Public Speaking

As an RYT 200 Certified Yoga teacher, I offer empowerment to my students, speaking to generous listening, being there for each other, and honoring commitments.

I have taught yoga classes as large of 48 students.

As a professional speaker, I have delivered case competitions in college atmospheres and to Fortune 500 companies.

I have delivered presentations and engaging topics to audiences as large as 800 people, including cutting edge research, similar to TED Talks.

SAT Math

When it comes to the SAT math test, I believe that students can succeed by working smarter, not harder. The SAT was designed for students to learn "how to test" and provides tricky questions. My years of tutoring in the SAT have earned students top scoring remarks to join their desired university for college.

The SAT does not have to be a hard test. With the right strategies, practice, and commitment to your success, it can be a breeze.

Statistics is in my DNA. In fact, I consider myself a statistician by trade, I have competed in math competitions since 6th grade, and I have led statistics research studies for Fortune 500 exams.

I have extensive experience with statistics software such as SAS, JMP, and SPSS, as well as R, Python, and additional library packages.

Statistics is a beautiful subject, and I look forward to supporting your success in statistics.

Whether you are working with statistics in AP Psychology, AP Statistics, or Biostatistics, or you are looking to go the Actuarial Science or Data Science route, I look forward to supporting your success.
