Bio

I am a PhD student in Anthropology at UC Berkeley (though I now live in New York). I also have a BA in Mathematics and English from New York University.

I have worked extensively as a private tutor over the last eight years. I work with high school and college students helping them write A+ papers for English, sociology, communications, philosophy and history classes.

I always tailor my tutoring approach to the needs of my students, challenging them while also ensuring that they enjoy learning. I strive to create an enthusiastic and motivating environment for the students I mentor, in which they feel free to ask questions, learn from mistakes and make constant progress. I believe that students learn best when they are both challenged and given ample support for completing their assignments. I am an expert learner and help students develop learning skills that will serve them well into the future.

The courses covered pre-production, produciton and post-production on several different types of cameras. Additionally, I worked in documentary film before starting graduate school.

I am currently a PhD student in Anthropology at UC Berkeley. As a part of my PhD, I have worked as a Teaching Assistant for four semesters. This position involved teaching as well as mentoring students and giving feedback on their exams and essays and thereby developing their study skills. I also regularly led review sessions during which I helped students prepare for and get the best grades possible on exams.
