Yale Grad with 15 Years Experience: English, ACT/SAT, Essay and More

I am a private tutor specializing in the SAT/ACT, English, History, and advanced reading/writing skills, with 15 years experience working with students around the country, including the most competitive private middle and high schools in New York City. I also work with students at the college level.
I have a BA in English from Yale University and an MFA in Creative Writing from NYU. At NYU I was the Axinn/E.L. Doctorow Writer-in-Residence, awarded to only one graduate in each class. My goals include improving students’ methods on English and History essays, developing their general study tactics and analytical skills, increasing their confidence in the classroom, and helping them find joy and fulfillment in their work. Many of my students now attend such colleges as Rice, Princeton, Columbia, Georgetown, Tufts, Vanderbilt, Washington University in St. Louis, the University of Virginia, and Syracuse.
I also have extensive experience with English and History essays, college essays, AP Exams, IB classes, and have worked with the SHSAT as well. I work with students from the middle school, high school, and college/grad school levels.
