Hi, I'm Delia! I have a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Haverford College, where I served as a teaching assistant for both introductory chemistry labs and physical chemistry. My academic work spanned chemistry, math, physics, and coding, giving me the breadth and depth to support students across multiple STEM fields. This combination of tutoring experience and rigorous training allows me to help students not only master material but also understand how it all fits together.
My tutoring experience includes high school students and college underclassmen in subjects ranging from math (up to calculus) to general chemistry, biology, physics, and coding. I’ve worked with students one-on-one as well as led office hours for small groups of up to five, tailoring my approach to each learner’s needs and goals. My sessions are hands-on and problem-solving based: I help students identify hidden weak spots, build confidence by working through problems step by step, and develop strategies that lead to lasting improvement and higher test scores.
I also like to make learning more engaging and accessible by using visual aids and a drawing tablet to break down complex ideas into manageable parts. Drawing from my research background, I show students how classroom material connects to real-world applications, which often helps spark interest and motivation. I enjoy working with a wide range of ages (middle school and up) and aim to make each session both productive and approachable.
