Alongside my academic pursuits, I am an internationally recognized filmmaker; my work has screened at the Museum of Modern Art, Film at Lincoln Center, the International Film Festival Rotterdam, the Institute of Contemporary Arts in London, and many other festivals and institutions around the world.
My most fulfilling experiences have come through tutoring and coaching. As the founder of ScriptSmith Screenplay Coverage, I have spent over six years providing tutoring, in-depth analysis, and constructive feedback to screenwriters at various stages in their careers. Beyond written feedback, I also engage in one-on-one conversations with clients to discuss their work’s potential and navigate the expectations of the screenwriting industry. This hands-on mentorship has deepened my ability to identify and articulate what makes creative writing effective, and has sharpened my communication skills – both of which I would bring directly into the tutoring setting.
Additionally, at Alpha Defender Lacrosse, I’ve guided young athletes through the competitive NCAA recruiting process for nearly six years, mentoring and training middle and high schoolers to enable them to excel in the high-octane world of NCAA recruiting. I shared proven training methods and competition strategies to develop mental and physical prowess, improve preparedness, and help students attain a confident, commanding mindset.
I can serve as a steady, inspiring presence to students across artistic, athletic, and academic domains. I know firsthand the discipline and perspective needed to grow in each of these areas, and I’m eager to share that insight with students as they navigate their own paths.
