Hi there! My name is Jack C. I graduated from the University of Michigan majoring in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology and minoring in Economics. I’m currently a second-year medical student at the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine, and I’m excited to share what I’ve learned on my journey so far.
From high school to undergrad and even through my gap year, I always knew medicine was my goal but figuring out how to get there wasn’t always straightforward. Between choosing the right courses, navigating applications, and preparing for the MCAT, I often found myself wishing I had a clearer guide. Now that I’m on the other side of those challenges, I want to be that guide for you.
I have experience tutoring middle school students in Math and English through Ann Arbor Public Schools from November 2020 to May 2022. In addition, I served as a Teaching Assistant for an Introductory Biology course at the University of Michigan during the first half of 2023. My approach has always been centered on engaging with students’ thought processes, listening carefully as they work through problems and explain their reasoning. Additionally, I love utilizing tools such as mnemonics and games to keep the experience fun and interesting.
I'm excited to continue building on this experience. I strive to create a respectful, engaging, and supportive learning environment, while remaining adaptable to each student's needs. Every student brings their own strengths and perspective, and I aim to provide personalized guidance that helps them thrive. My goal is to help every student I work with not only succeed but also look back and say, “Hey, that wasn’t so bad after all.”
Whether you need help with coursework, MCAT prep, med school applications, or just want some honest advice, you’re in the right place. I’m here to support you every step of the way.
