Hi, I’m Sofía! I am a native Spanish speaker from Buenos Aires, Argentina, and currently a student at New York University (NYU), majoring in Economics with minors in Business Studies and Public Policy & Management. My academic journey has taught me that passionate teachers make classes truly enjoyable, and I aim to bring that enthusiasm for Spanish language, literature, history, and culture to my tutoring sessions.

I prioritize open communication with my students to understand their specific needs and interests. I’ll create tailored lesson plans to effectively cover the material and share valuable resources. I also plan to adapt each session to ensure it aligns with my students’ goals.

I have significant tutoring experience, including working with middle school students in Algebra I and specializing in Spanish grammar and literature for three years, particularly to prepare for the AP Spanish Language & Culture and AP Spanish Literature & Culture exams. Additionally, I’ve led high school seminars on educational disparities in the U.S. and abroad and am currently teaching a class on the fundamentals of consulting and basics in business.

While I focus on Spanish tutoring due to my passion and background, I’m dedicated to educating students across various subjects. I believe in a reciprocal learning experience, where I can learn from my students as well. I welcome feedback and suggestions to enhance the learning experience.
