My name is Andrew M. and I am a current medical student at the University of Michigan Medical School. I originally graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences and Spanish. As well as the below qualifications, I am also available to assist with medical school applications and consulting.
I have extensive knowledge of Biology (evolutionary, cell, molecular, genetics) Chemistry, Biochemistry, and adjacent STEM topics. College coursework I have completed includes Molecular and Cell Biology, Comparative Physiology, Evolution and Diversity, Genetics, Microbiology, Immunology, Parasitology, General Chemistry I and II, and Organic Chemistry I and II. I was on the Dean’s list at Cornell University for all 8 semesters I attended where I graduated with a GPA of 4.01. Having studied for the MCAT and going through rigorous coursework at Cornell University, I can tutor in all STEM subjects, ranging from day-day tutoring to test preparation such as the ACT, SAT, subject tests, or the MCAT.
I have experience teaching study groups for evolutionary, molecular and cell Biology as well as Organic Chemistry consisting of lesson plans and test-taking strategy sessions.
I am currently able to tutor online through zoom. My tutoring methods consist of problem-solving sessions as well as diagramming processes and problems. I often will use my iPad to sketch out problems and draw things out to better help my students learn. Please message me with any specific questions!
