Initial Tutoring Session will take place at a local library. I am available in the Castleton and Fishers areas. Each session will last 1 hour, unless the parent/guardian requests additional time in advance. The additional time can either be part of the lesson or booked as an extra 30 minutes.

The first session always includes a conversation with the child about school and what they enjoy as well as in which area(s) they struggle.

I am a dedicated Educator with experience in Special Education (Learning Disabilities, ADHD) and Secondary Math. I also homeschooled my children for several years. My instructional strengths include Math, Reading Comprehension, Study Skills, Time Management (Executive Functioning), Differentiated Instruction, and Organizational Skills.

I have experience at the elementary, middle, and high school levels that includes working with students in the ESOL program and students with Learning Disabilities.

As a teacher, I take pride in helping my students find ways to succeed, both inside and outside of the classroom. Working as a Special Education teacher gives me a perspective and deeper respect for the manner in which we learn, as we all learn differently and have different strengths and weaknesses. The experiences helped make me a better teacher, as I developed patience and the ability to allow students to 'show' me how they learn best.

I would love the opportunity to help your child succeed and maintain a positive outlook on education!

Very patient

She is very knowledgeable and have a lot of patience in teaching. My son is looking forward to the next session with her. I've definitely learned some things myself during the first session especially being that my son is left handed.
