Mr. G was very helpful and made sure I went over each step. I would recommend him to teach algebra for teens like me.

Maurice is very patient and works well with our son! We are glad to have him as a tutor! His white board approach to working a problem together to make sure no steps are missed is a wonderful approach!

First tutoring session with Maurice for geometry. Was very personable and knowledgeable. Was able to help my son who gets very frustrated and gives up easily.

Very helpful! Definitely will use again!!

THANKS!!

Maurice did a great job helping our son prepare well for his test coming up. He also went over the questions with him and helped him understand the calculations.

Maurice is a great teacher of math my son is doing very well thank to Maurice. I would recommend him if you want to improve your kids math skills. He's on time and ready to work.

Trigonometry topics: finding the quadrant in which trig functions were positive or negative, story problems where I had to find one side of a right triangle using the correct trig function, & Pythagorean theorem to find one side of a right triangle, We also worked on the following geometry topics: finding ratios given similar triangles, given a transversal & parallel lines - determining alternate interior angles, alternate exterior angles, & vertical angles (corresponding congruent angles).

Leading up to our first session, Mr. G provided me with the good information to help us both prepare for our first session. Before the first session was over, I felt more relaxed than I did going in because of Mr. G's patience. Math can intimate especially when you are going over it with a pro but that was not the case here. Mr. G explains it in a way that you can understand and his large white dry erase board provides a much greater visual than paper. After the session, I instantly informed with my dad that Mr. G is the man and I am actually looking forward to our next meeting. I needed a tutor for SAT Math/Refresher help and I located a good one in Mr. G.

GRE
Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I have been helping students prepare for the ACT for more than two years. I work with students to develop strategies (both general & personal) for the Math section that will help them score better. I also taught high school mathematics for three years. The subjects I taught were Algebra I, ECA Algebra I Review, Precalculus & Trigonometry, AP Statistics, & Probability & Statistics. I am successful at helping students feel confident and comfortable with the subject matter.

I taught Algebra I for one year as well as ECA Algebra I review for another year in a high school setting. I have also been tutoring Algebra I for the past two years. I have been successful in helping students to understand the subject material.

I taught high school mathematics for three years and have been tutoring for over 2 half years. The subjects I taught were Algebra I, ECA Algebra I Review, Precalculus & Trigonometry, AP Statistics, & Probability & Statistics.

The first two topics of the GRE cover things that I taught/tutor in algebra. I have been tutoring geometry students for more than two years. The topics covered in data analysis are things that I taught in my AP Statistics and Probability & Statistics courses.

While obtaining my teaching license I was student teacher for Pre-Algebra for a semester in a middle school. As a licensed teacher I taught three years in a high school setting. I taught Algebra I for one year as well as ECA Algebra I review for another year along with Precalculus/Trigonometry (two years), AP Statistics (2 years), and Probability & Statistics (1 year). I have also been tutoring Algebra I for the past two years. I have been successful in helping students to understand the subject material.

I am currently working with a seventh and eight grade brother and sister who are taking Algebra I & Pre-Algebra respectively to help them think critically with regard to math.
