When I was entering college from high school, I was a struggling C student initially. However, after encountering my German professor, I realized that the key in becoming a successful student is to have the right mentality. With this mentality change, I managed to get a 3.987 GPA at UCF, which was far better than my 2.3 in high school. During my time at University of Central Florida as a teacher’s assistant, I have always shown that the hallmark of a successful students is made from effort and mentality rather than being in-born into others. In addition, I have learned that by teaching in a fun and innovative way, a student can engage more in a subject.

With my teaching method, it is about making the learning experience fun rather than boring, I found that this engages the student more in the subject. In addition, I also want to make sure the student understands the process of certain concepts rather than just memorizing such concepts (remember there is always a purpose in a concept). With this type of understanding, I not only prepare students to do well in the current the subjects that they need help in, but also successfully conquer future subjects and problems.

I was a teacher's assistant in the summer of 2015 at the University of Central Florida for two classes of statistical methods in psychology. In addition, I have all As in both three semesters of Statistical methodology and in advanced research methods, which involves the heavy use of statistical analysis.

I have a 3.987 in the Psychology major at the University of Central Florida (UCF). In addition, I graduated in the summer of 2016 with an honor's degree in the major of Psychology from UCF by completing my honor's thesis in Chinese Language Processing. Beyond my grade credentials, I was also a teacher's assistant in the fall of 2015 for Industrial/Organizational psychology at the University of Central Florida. With this job, I have tutored students in completing final projects and how to conduct their projects in respects with businesses in Central Florida. In addition, I was also a teacher's assistant in the spring of 2016 for Developmental Psychology.

I have attained a BA in German and Italian at Florida State University. In addition, I also have a MA in German from the same institution. I have attended school in both Germany and Italy. Once with the Goethe Institute attaining a B2 certification and once at Scuola Tricolore at the intermediate level.

I studied independently on the GRE and received a 164 on the Mathematics section of the GRE (top 15%), 157 on the Verbal Section of the GRE (top 25%) and a 4.5 in writing (top 20%).

If you are interested and you are located within the Orlando area, feel free to contact me at anytime of the day and I'll get back to you as soon as I can to schedule a lesson. If you are not in the orlando area, then I'm available for online lessons as well. Good Luck and Conquer!

The best tutor

Long is one of the best tutors. He is very knowledgeable and patient and makes sure to explain all topics thoroughly and genuinely enjoys teaching stats to others. I came from not doing a math class in 20 years but once I found Mr. Long I felt more confident in my ability to do math again.

Real life YouTube video!!

I had been using YouTube videos as my tutor, mainly Khan Academy. But you can’t ask a video questions. Long brings those videos to life by being present throughout your scheduled time. Mission accomplished! I now understand basic Statistics.

Great Tutor!

He is one of the best tutors I have ever worked with and I highly recommend him! I have been working with Long for over a year and he has helped me tremendously in my understanding of Math & Statistics which led me to a great deal of "aha" moments during our lessons since both subjects were alien to me. Before working with Long, I struggled with my classes despite my efforts of trying hard to understand the lessons and homework. Long has helped me get confident with both subjects, do better in my exams and pass all my classes with a good grade. He has a simple way of explaining the problems and translates them into examples that made sense to me. Thank you Long for your teaching and patience!

Knowledgeable and Patient Tutor

Lessons with Long fly by and keep my mind focused on the language and help me think about Italian all day. He's easy to work with and very good natured, never punitive or pedantic. I enjoy reviewing the lessons and really hope to improve my grasp of the language with frequent lessons from Long.

Awesome teacher

Long clearly has expert-level knowledge of the German language and grammar rules, but is able to teach in an easy, conversational way. I feel much more confident in speaking than I did before. I look forward to working with him and eventually becoming a fluent speaker. Thanks, Long!

Patient and calm. My daughter’s interest in French has blossomed! She looks forward to class and stays engaged during the lesson. I would recommend him highly. The hardest thing when kids study language is the conjugations. It is work and can be very boring. She is doing it without complaint.

Very Helpful

I found Long to help my daughter with Stats and he was very helpful and knowledgeable. She used the online tutoring option which worked out very well plus it has a recorded lesson feature that allows her to go back and watch the lesson again if needed. Long is a gem--so happy we found him.

He was great!

He gave me a good basis and foundation and I look forward to more sessions. We worked on a lot of basics because I'm a beginner. He was able to help me understand a lot of pronunciations as well.
