Hello - I'm Liz! I graduated from Caltech with my Bachelor's degree in Computation and Neural Systems, and I have recently graduated from UC Berkeley with my PhD in Visual Neuroscience. I identify as a life-long learner and want to aid others in their academic journey through tutoring. I want to learn what each student cares about and finds interesting and work that into my lesson plans to make learning more fun and motivating. I’ll also explicitly teach the subject needed, and provide exercises for the student to practice, and update and tailor the lesson plan if needed for the individual student.
I have taught Physiology courses at Cal for Optometry students, Neuroscience courses for undergraduates at Caltech, and an Introduction to Psychology Research program for High School Students at Cal. I additionally have a couple years tutoring experience tutoring High School and early College Math (Algebra, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, etc.).
I have experience and can tutor in Math (Algebra to Linear Algebra and advanced topics), Science, and Writing Composition.
I look forward to working with students who just need an extra push or help in specific subject areas. I am easy to contact and provide fast responses. Please feel free to contact me with additional questions or connect to schedule a lesson!
